| The "oh damn" was about this post being about the London bombings just after I said I didn't post anything, rather than about my neglecting to do so. I didn't post anything because enough of my friends were saying the same thing that it didn't seem to be worth making a hypocritical post, since the content of the post would have been, essentially, "this isn't worth making so much of a fuss about - that number of people die in traffic accidents in and around London every day and they don't get two days of dedicated news and blogging". Which is a good thing, of course, since that would mean we'd have two days of news every day, which would leave a bit of an unpleasant backlog. |
