| Time for hypothetical questions. Imagine you are famous and popular, and also single. Lots of people fancy you, and you often get declarations of intense emotions that you can't tell how seriously to take them, eg. "I'm your biggest fan", "I love you". You have taken to pretty much brushing people off (politely), as the only way to still have any time to yourself. If someone fancies you, and they're actually a good person for you, you wouldn't have any way of knowing this. What would be the best one-line thing for them to say to get you to give them a chance? Similarly, if you thought a famous single person is great and would be a good partner for you, and you met them somewhere, what would be the best one-line thing you could say to them that would catch their interest, if they are as good for you as you think they are? And in closing, a rhetorical question for the many "powerful wiccans" out there. I know there aren't (m)any such reading here, but it's a rhetorical question you can pass on to anyone who claims to be a powerful wiccan. If wicca really exists, why do bad things happen? [00:55] |

| Treat them 100% as per anyone else. When the interaction would normally call for 'good bye' tag on '...and yes, I did recognize you.' |

| Well if a was popualr and famous then that would a dead on sign of the apocolypse so this wouldnt really is hard but the only way I would look twice at someone is if they completely ignored me without hesitation. If they just let me be and live my life. And bad things happen because what we see as bad is good for someone else so actually bad things don't happen. |

| I was thinking of the context as something like a book-signing, which rather ruins James' suggestion. One of those contexts where you only get one line, so you can hardly treat them just like someone else. |

| Ah. I have no idea then, because the whole concept of book signings is kind of alien to me. I just don't get it. |

| Me neither, but you get the idea. Book-signings, convention appearances, the sort of situation where there's a whole lot of people so you really can't treat them like a normal person because they're not in a normal situation. |

| Gowan doesn't count, he's easy, clearly not dismissive enough of the fans. I managed to have a conversation with him and I didn't even really want to. |
