I hate Seinfeld. I have always hated Seinfeld, ever since I was first subjected to it. I hate Seinfeld with a passion most people reserve for hating George Bush. The show is not funny, the stand-up comedy is somehow even less funny, and the perpetual "boingy boingy boing" scene-transition music is annoying even though it's the funniest part of the show. Today, pondering sitcoms, I realised something which makes Seinfeld even more annoying than it was before. It makes a big deal of being very special because it's a show about nothing. But the show is, in fact, exactly the same as every other sitcom. There are four people, approximately sharing an apartment building. They go to a diner/coffee shop and have conversations about things in their lives. One of them is an actor, one of them works in some sort of vague financial-seeming place. It's exactly the same setup as Friends, with the exceptions that it's short two females, and none of the characters are amusing or attractive. The only way it seems any more a show about nothing than Friends is that the actors don't bother to act. So the characters are "just some git reading lines" instead of being actual characters. Reading lines and smirking because they think they're funny. [05:30] |

Don't forget Will and Grace and The Simpsons, those aren't as bad, but practicly every show is as the on before. |

The best show about nothing I've seen was the movie "My Dinner With Andre", two friends meeting in a restaurant, talking about past experiences. The second best is the homage episode of "Frasier", called "My Coffee With Niles". |

Hrm, I'm not a huge fan of Seinfeld, but I do think the show is quite funny. However, I'm a really big fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm, written by the same guy that wrote for Seinfeld. It's mad funny. =) |

I'm suprised you find any of the Friends bunch attractive, let alone amusing. |
RavenBlack |
I don't, but I can conceive of them being found attractive, which differs from Seinfeld. (Though actually, the woman in Seinfeld would be fairly attractive if she didn't talk or have opinions.) |

Doesn't being attractive hva to do with looks? |
Sienfeld hater |
I'm glad to find someone else out there who hates this crappy show as passionately as me. I rejoiced the day it was canceled only to find myself in a world of sh!tfield reruns. The show is pure crap. Same jokes over an over, and when they run out of overused jokes they just decide to talk about sex. The only reason they don't all have VD is because the show is FAKE. The only halfway decent parts are stolen from the Dick van Dyke show and distorted. |

I ask why is Seinfeld funny and everybody says. "You don't find the show funny? It's the greatest shoe of all time!" Freinds bores me too. Will and Grace - Sex and the city - Desparate House Wifes - Everybody Loves Raymond - Lost - Survivor...I can't stand any of these shows. I guess ( and I bring up RACE) I quess as a urban white single attractive woman in a professional & artistic employment I should be into these yuppie/preppie icon shows. I quess I'm different. Besides, I like shows with a plot, meaning, ABOUT SOMETHING!, and with real humor. If they are good pigment amounst the cast is not manditory but... shows I like/love seem to have cast members with pigmnet. Works for me. Works for me best. |

Well, it just takes time to get used to. That's all. I didn'tlike seinfeld the first time either. But since I watched one full episode I laughed. Then I got the Box set DVD and Began loving it. I even love Jerry Seinfeld's joke routine. If you don't like him. That 's cool. Maybe you try to hate it too much if you hate it with a "passion". Hating shows with a "passion" sound like you pay too much attetion to it or you think about it too much. Then again, Seinfeld hated his own show also. Larry David cried when he found out he had to write the 3rd season of the show. Then again. It is weird people actually waste their times finding people who hate Seinfeld. Sounds like he had brought you together. And you don't even know it. Shit. YOu can all watch a who season of it and critisize it altogether in one big f*cking room." I hate Seinfeld Yada, Yada, Yada.""It is not funny, but I like that one guy, who is his name?""Kramer.""Yes". You can write a book on how you hate Seinfeld. " S"i"enfeld hater. Seinfeld owns you and you don't even know it. You are a viewer of Seinfeld, not a happy nor mad one.ha ha ha... Oh, Seinfeld is really the only sitcom I really liked. Never really liked friends. Never seen Dick van Dyke. Too old of a show to get back on I guess. And oh yeah" I didn't know the show was fake. I thought it was real." I;m not a fan of reality shows. |

That comment started out sane and then went totally loopy. Congratulations. Nobody took any time *finding* people who hate Seinfeld, they were just here, it's a blog, there was one post about Seinfeld. We *could* all watch a whole season of it and bla bla bla, but that would be retarded, wouldn't it. You people who like Seinfeld could all sit in a big room and *not* watch Seinfeld and complain about how there's no Seinfeld to watch, I love Seinfeld Yada, Yaha, Yada. That's an equally valuable suggestion, though I didn't quite manage to gibber as much as Jack. |
HOW can... |
Com'on, look: I really hate those silly reality shows, but I like Seinfeld! And I hate Friends and that boring things like M*A*S*H and so. But, if you hate Seinfeld, I respect you, and everyone should expose their thoughts. |

I too hate Seinfeld and have been waiting for sometimes to share my feelings with the like minded. 1. The show is cheap, the comedy is cheap, and the characters are the cheapest. Repeating the same words again and again and desperately trying to live off live with casual sex. 2. Seinfeld: Even after doing 175 episodes he couldn't act, always smiling and showing us his teeth. 3. Kramer: The only thing I can say about him is F.S.O.B. A worthless and jobless fellow living on borrowed time and has a say on everything, a parasite in all and all. 4. Elaine: Nothing short of a prostitute. 5. George: He is only character I prefer. Excellent acting and really makes you hate him. 6. Seinfeld stands nowhere infront of real comedy like Yes Minister!, Blackadder, and Fawlty Towers, etc. Watch them if you can, and I am sure you all will hate Seinfeld even more. |

Seinfeld wouldn't last 2 seconds on a UK comedy club stage. His stand up routine is about as funny as watching paint dry. Perhaps he should study comedy a litle more and study what's funny and what isn't. He isn't. |

Ha..this blog saved my life. I was thinking something was wrong with me in not finding Seinfeld to be "The god of all things humorous." And that wrongness was going to compound itself later in my life. Thank you all :) |

I hate it to because there is so much bluff and hot air behind it. It was clever, yes. But was it funny? Hell no, it may have been fun at times but never funny. I could watch the entire TV series and not have a single laugh; only one episode made me laugh (the one where Jerry and George enter the wrong limousine) this one actually made sense and was realistic in its humor. Seinfeld's high level of unrealistic nonsense and rections is not funny and the recorded laughs accompanying every lame unrealistic stupidity is not going to make it funny either. Look, no nation in the world found Seinfeld funny, it was only a success in USA and a failure any where else. This is not common among USA TV hit shows. Most American tv hits are usually successful abroad as well, at least in some level mainly among Canada, Europe, Australia, and Latin America: Not even. This phenomenon has only happened with Seinfeld because that level of unrealistic humor is not funny, fuck it, it just isn't. It's just idiotic. And I am not even going to get into how lame of a humorists actor Jerry is, forget that. |
sienfield isnt even funny i mean theres no point. You could watch that show and not even laugh once. besides, jerry sienfield is a douche bag. |
look, family guy isn't even that funny of a show. its just one random joke after another. |
George |
Well you have to admit one thing.... there was one really good show to it's long and borring run. The final one, in which they got what they deserved. Jail time. |
ok |
I dont find jerry seinfeld's comedy routine funny at all but all the events involving george and kramer make the show funny you have to remember that its a tv show it doesnt have to be realistic you cant take it seriously |
RavenBlack |
I don't think anyone was taking the show seriously. Not finding something funny is not at all the same as taking it seriously. |

oh my god you basically said how i feel about this show word from word. i was just telling someone on facebook how much i hate this show & always have. i googled to see if anyone else hated seinfeld as much as i do & others do exist. i have always told people how it is the same show as friends just with ugly people short 2 women. |

I just replied to a thread where I mentioned what I thought about Seinfeld=unfunny! So will leave link as website data to that thread. Anyhow was relieved after search on Google to find this threda, so I am not the only one to think this way, perhaps there is hope. By the way if you see an antispam question at end of comment, says something like ; What is 12 + 1? ,don't answer 1 more than 12, as that doesn't seem to work. (Seinfeld wouldn't get that 1 perhaps) |

I don't find seinfeld that funny either. I always wondered if they planned the cast or if it was a coincidence that they have 4 of the ugliest people in the world on one show. Friends was funny and had 2 of the hottest women in the world jennifer aniston and courtney cox. |
