Comments on Friday 15 August 2003:
It would be brilliant to be bugged by the NSA, CIA, FBI, ASIO, or what have you. They would get to experience the most incomprehensible-to-third-party conversations ever. Witness:
"I have a confession to make."
"What is it?"
"It was me all along."
"What was?"
"The lamp."
"What, since I bought it?"
"Yes."
"So you've been watching me in the shape of a lamp since I was twelve?"
"Yes."
"And you still had the nerve to ask me what I looked like, and pretend not to know?"
"No. That wasn't me."
"Oh. Who was it, then?"
"It was my bee."
"So you stalk me, in the form of a lamp, from the time I'm twelve, and then get your bee to seduce me?"
"Yes."
"Aww. That's cute."
So, if anyone works for any local secret services, I think you should know that we're highly suspicious. [04:22]

The need for an ASIO mouseover reminded me of the great film "Children of the Revolution" http://imdb.com/Title?0115886 and the lines from Sam Neill as the British/Russian/Australian mix and match agent Nine:

Joan: And the Australians?
Nine: What?
Joan: Do they know?
Nine: Well, no one really cares if they know.

Come to think of it, you didn't mention the British. Aha! I have uncovered your diabolical plan. Raven is working for MI-6. It all makes sense now. The long period in DC even though he hated it - had to be close to the US government to assess US foreign policy until it became clear that the Americans were happy to demonstrate that what was broadcast on CNN really was their foreign policy. After this, the move to Adelaide so as to be close enough to previous British nuclear testing sites in the centre of Australia to do something diabolical (just don't walking NNW too far from Adelaide without a protective suit, and pay close attention to the radiation signs). Even the cover name to conceal his real identity. Tsk. Silly spy. Too easy to unmask.

Solistus
You'd think a spy would figure out that broadcasting his location on the internet and keeping a blog of his activities is a bad idea...

When did I mention my being on the moon? DOH!

C. Copperpot
And I thought you were orbiting the Earth in a giant Big Boy all this time! I feel cheated.
