Australia really is like the Monty Python 'Bruce' sketch. A letter from FedEx explaining that they had taken my computer hostage and named it Bruce was signed Bruce. When I called their number (1-800-BRUCE), the answerer introduced himself as Bruce the Bruce, and refused to send me my computer until I admitted that my name was Bruce.

Hoorah! I've only ever known one person named Bruce, and he was bitten by a red back spider. In the morning he awoke and gave a rather good rendition of the Monty Python sketch concerning the meaning of life involving Africa, lions, and mysteriously missing legs. This is how tough Australians are. Confront us with imminent loss of life and we will quote you some Python. This is what you get for being a stereotype. You can of course have hours of fun repeating the name 'Bruce' to yourself. Try it, you'll see what I mean. |

Hmmm.... now I have an urge- nay, a need- to watch some Monty Python. It's been a while since I watched Life of Brian, why not? |
