Incidentally, with regard to divorce-things; tsk. It's annoying that divorce evokes something of a"made a mistake" ambience, which isn't actually appropriate. Even with the advantage of hindsight, I'd probably have done nothing different; the marriage was in order to be together, not an "ooh, look, we're married because it's forever" thing. Stupid perceptions. And hooray for escaping America at last.

Eh, I don't know if you remember, but you had a big "ooh, look, we're married because it's forever" unofficial wedding as well. All power to positive thinking, but manic airbrushing never does anyone any good. |

Feh, that wasn't mine, that was hers; ostensibly for the benefit of family and friends, even. If it were mine, I'd have invited some people. |

I think that marriage liscences should have an agreed upon expiry date, that whole "till death do us part" bit started back when 35 was an optimistic life expectancy. |

It's good, if you can look over anyportion of your life and say, "I wouldn't ahve done anything different". Means yer regret factor is minimal if nonexeistance. I agree with a no regrets kinda life. You seem to do that pretty well, man. I'd wish you luck, but I got a feeling you make yer own luck pretty well. |

It is good that you escaped to America...now...it is time for me to escape to England. No not really. And I hate the "ooh, look, we're married because it's forever" thing. This is why so many people have kids outside of marriages...to skip that part lol<\/A>/. |

Not *to* America. Eurgh. How would that be an escape? |

They really should bring back the old idea of handfasting, you know ... nic, time-limited, finite 'forever's that are in everyone's abilities to mean fully and part happily and with the minimum of blame, fuss and expecttaion at the end..... |
