Curses! Apparently I agree with the Bush administration on something. That was never supposed to happen. Affirmative Access replacing Affirmative Action. I don't entirely agree with it as described, but it's certainly a meritocratic improvement over the current quota method, or the also-current "minorities get twenty points free" method. On a vaguely related note, TV-dubbed Rush Hour is horrendous - how can "wassup, mah niggah?" possibly be considered more offensive than "wassup... Negro?" [06:30] |

You *are* a lazy genius. That's all the proof I need. |

You must have forgotten the golden algorithm: if ($admin eq 'Bush') { $policy = 'Bad' } It's remarkable how useful this is. |

I stand by my solution to the whole issue- just don't supply admissions boards with ethnic background information at all! This would eliminate the quota issues while allowwing colleges to use better scales. I live in Texas, and I go to public schools, and with our funding system, most school suck and the few decent ones (such as my school) attract all the 'academically strong' students, which creates low- and high- competition schools. I don't have a chance in Hell at top 10%, being a 'lazy genius' myself, but I could probably shoot for Valedictorian in most schools in the state. |
