People mentioning their Amazon wish lists drew my attention to the fact that Amazon wish lists are no use to me - I almost never want anything that Amazon sells. I am, however, not an easy person to buy presents for. Several other people have said similar things. The logical conclusion was that I should write a script that would do wishlists for non-Amazon products. Having thought of it, and procrastinating as I was, I went looking to see if someone else had already done it. Lo, wishlist.com is just that, albeit somewhat clumsier than I would have had it. Hm, after adding a couple of things to it, I'm tempted to write one anyway - five clicks to add a thing even immediately after having just added a thing is very annoying. But then, since there are so few reasonable things I want anyway, it's probably not worth the effort. [21:33] |

Would you like some Australian magpies that perch on things? Got some very tame ones that sit around while I feed them biscuits. Could probably ask them to fly north for a season or two. I'm afraid they are neither plastic or fluffy, but they sing very nicely when fed biscuits, and perch well. Of course, corvids (even fake one's such as Australian magpies or currawongs) are really very wimpy birds when you compare them to birds qua birds. eg The cockatoo. The cockatoo is clearly the king of the birds. Just have a look at the crest a cockatoo can put out. Then have a look at the beak. Note also that the parrots are the only bird family intelligent enough to have a web browser designed for them. So corvids dress in black? Feh. So does my old Greek landlady.... ;-) |

She's hyper-intelligent too, she just hides it from you. |
