| Cable modem has been installed, and is working decently. Slightly odd behaviour with alternating bursts of very fast and very slow, but that's better than DSL's alternating bursts of 'a bit fast' and 'disconnected'.

| I'll soon be a position where I can get broadband. But after the last few months of reading about how it's sucked 99% of the time, I'm not so sure. Is your case perticularly unusual? |

| It was worse than most, but it's fairly common for DSL to be pretty poor. Cable modem is generally more reliable, but has other nastiness (like the cable companies tend to be shittier about monitoring what you're doing). |
