| A flash of lightning, then darkness. Not just ordinary darkness; there was no moon, no stars, no streetlights. It was as though the whole world had disappeared, outside his room. Even the room could have been thought to be gone, if it weren't for the blinking and glowing lights of various electronic devices. There was just his screen. His screen and him, lit by its light. A monosyllabic shout outside dispelled the pleasant illusion, though the darkness remained.
