On a related note, I'm also looking at Virtual Network Computing - a thing for remotely controlling your computer over a network. Why do I want that? Well, I prefer to program in bed, where it's warm, but my laptop computer lacks the capability to do decent 3D behaviour. I'm hoping I can code and compile on my desktop computer, from bed, using the laptop as an interface. I'm so lazy, I'll work at it. Blame Eperdu for this.

Even on a network, VNC is pretty slow, but still nice for, say, IRC, or other such text based endevours. It's still a pretty ingenious solution to the whole floating desktop problem some companies face. |

Radmin is nice. Latency is not that noticable. Its written in perl which impressed me (but probably not you). I have a feeling its freeware, but don't have the time right now to check it out. About a meg when zipped so if you want it you can have it from me. But only if its freeware of course *cough*. |

There's definitely a couple of notable freeware ones. VNC has caught my eye since most of them are Windows<->Windows only. This month, I shall be mostly be trying to find as many different things as I can to distract Raven from doing what he /should/ doing. Bwah. |
