Shortly before the car scrunch, I stumbled upon a DVD of The Five Doctors for $20, which I hadn't been able to find online, in VHS or DVD format, for less than $30 a couple of months ago. So that's nice.

This would be the one more accurately entitled the Three Doctors, some archive footage of Tom Baker and someone doing a dismal impersonation of William Hartnell? :-7 Any reason why you were after this one in particular? I seem to recall that the Raston Warrior Robot and the Cybermen were quite fun but it did suffer from a worrying outbreak of Sarah Jane Smith. |

No-one disses Sarah Jane Smith and gets away with it! In general I did find The Five Doctors disappointing, agreed. It's The Caves of Androzani and The Tomb of the Cybermen (and maybe Remembrance of the Daleks too) that I currently covet. |

Childhood memories is why. Mostly I remembered the "easy as pie" chessboard scene. And yes, the Rastan Warrior Robot. I was really not very impressed by the Tomb of the Cybermen. It was on TV here a mere couple of months ago. |

No-one gets away with dissing Sarah Jane? Oddly enough, I seem to remember someone called the Doctor managing it on a few occasions. :-) |
