Admiration is certainly deserved. <g> However, I believe I may be able to compete in this particular skill. I managed to fit the entire contents of my dorm room (barring the existing furniture and a whole drawerfull of jeans--about 10 pairs--which I never got back) into an '85 Escort. Gigantic XT-case computer (my dad's hybrid monstrosity doing) and peripherals, aquarium with fish in, stacking shelves, houseplants, and boxes and plastic crates without end full of rubbish. Thank goodness it was only a 30-minute drive, because the seat was moved up so far my stomach was squashed against the steering wheel, I was hunched down because a piece of plywood was jutting over my head, and something sharp was boring through the seat and into a kidney...not to mention barely being able to see out of the car. :) It was actually rather depressing to realize that most of my possessions could fit into an Escort. There were no passengers, though (unless you count the fish), so perhaps I shall have to bow to your superior skill. <g> |
