Thought for America for the day. The precedent has been set that corporations must protect you from your own stupidity. Make $$$$ fast! Here are a couple of suggestions - I'm sure you can come up with many more. 1. Inhale coffee at McDonalds, and 'almost drown'. Sue them for not labelling their coffee "not to be taken internally". 2. Fall over the bottom step of some stairs, and hurt your wrist, so that it 'keeps you from working' - always good in a lawsuit. Sue the building owners for not having big signs reading "DANGER! STAIRS! DO NOT TRAVERSE WITHOUT RAISING FEET!"

There's one website that has quite a few of those scary things... http://www.dumbwarnings.com/ It has annoying flashy banner ads on soome of it, but a nice collection of these "stupid warnings." |

It's become a cliche in the UK now - The US is ambivalent about it's rights. Citizens want the freedom to do as it pleases (smoke, carry guns) but the rights to blame someone when the end results aren't pleasing. I simplify of course. This a cliche over there? |

No, it's just the truth here. |

Yes, and at the base of the stairs should be another sign reading, "Careful when falling down the stairs to not bump your head here. X"...just in case they didn't heed the first sign. |
