Oh yes, I am angry. My computer has been failing to shut down with annoying scary messages that look not unlike horrible virus things (and, since I recently installed software I downloaded, without even tightening the screws, that could easily have been the case). But no, it's not a virus, it's merely something just as bad but more poorly programmed. Press control-alt-del, dear readers, and examine the list of running things. Do you see whagent? Then despair, and become an angry monster too.

Ah, you pesky Windows users© I hit <ctrl-alt-del> and my machine promptly rebooted happily, ruining my uptime of 100023 years© Most distressing© I assuredly became an angry monster at this© Anyway, aren't virii really viruses - http://www©perl©com/language/misc/virus©html - It takes a Perl scholar to be this pedantic about language use as it relates to computing© ;-¤ This paper is actually one of the reasons I like Perl, combined with http://www©wall©org/~larry/pm©html © Bloody postmodernism© Way too cool, wearing too many pairs of dark sunglasses© |

Whoops© Nameless would be me© That's what you get for switching to a different machine and not checking on the cookie status properly and so on© |

I don't believe perl.com despite its evidence. Why not? Because virii is simply a better word than viruses. Nobody is confused as to what I mean, and it sounds nicer, so where's the harm? Only in annoying Mr Perl, and that can only be considered fair revenge. Why not use an ASCII character set? |
