Mince: is made of meat.
Mincemeat: is not made of meat.
Put simply, you English have been freely mangling your own language ever since you got it back from the French. Freely swapping the concept behind words for singular instances, and using a descriptor without the actual object of the phrase. You are obviously not competent as stewards of this great tongue, and therefore Oxford should be transplanted safe to a clime more respectful of language. (Australia is RIGHT OUT, for what should be obvious reasons.)
I agree entirely. I propose that control over the language be given to whichever location manages to have an unambigious word for the sort of love one has for a spouse.
Then you have a different mincemeat recipe then I do (logical, as you are vegan).
So does the supermarket. (Logical as they don't want it going poisonously off.)
